Solesville Foundation

Evans uses shoes as a catalyst to impact the world; particularly after hearing childhood stories from his grandparents on how having shoes were a luxury, and how they had to walk several miles to school and to town in shoes with linoleum and cardboard in the bot-tom to prevent their feet from being injured. Evans has been creating “high-heeled” success to inspire

others to put their best foot forward, and to join the Sole Patrol in achieving social and economic equality around the world to achieve the foundation’s motto “saving soles one step at a time”.

Be a Catalyst

Founder of the Solesville Foundatioin, Celebrity Designer and Lifestyle Architect Etu Evans started painting the soles of his shoes purple in 2010 in his Harlem atelier. He eventually embossed it with his signature greyhound mascot as a birthmark of distinction. Desirous of an indulgent color that exuded power, aristocracy and symbolic of his jet set clientele, purple reigned as the only color of choice. He often wriggled at the unsightliness observed on the scuffed colored soles of other brands, so he sought creative solutions to prevent his collection from falling prey. The former ivy league behavioral therapist’s psychology of purple is that royalty should never drag the ground. As a  result, he strategically placed the color purple only on the arch of his coveted heels. Part of Evans’ infatuation and inspiration is derived from his amethyst birthstone. Before delving deeper into its meaning, he noticed that the priestly gemstone was prominent in the ring of bishops and other spiritual officiants.
